Melody Feder was born in Adelaide in 1988. It must have been fate that her parents named her so appropriately and she has always lived up to her name, from an early age she showed talent, appearing in many musicals, and guest spots at her Father's bands concerts as well as performing on stage with Kasey Chambers and the Dead Ringer Band at the age of 10!

Her love of country music has been a long time thing, her Dad played a lot of country music around the house when she was young and this is where she has got her inspiration. Artists such as Linda Rondstat, Emmylou Harris, Kasey Chambers, Catherine Britt, Fred Eaglesmith and Sara Storer are a few that she looks up to.

Melody has been entering Talent Quest’s since the age of 12 and regularly placed in various quests throughout her teenage years including Barmera and Mildura. Some of her most notable results include:-

• South Australian Country music Talent Quest-1st Place in Country Rock & Bush Ballads section
• Mildura Country Music Festival-1st Place in Country Rock, 2nd place in Australian Vocal. Qualified for Victorian Champion of Champions.
• Murraylands Country Music Festival- 2nd place in Vocal, 1st place in Duet(with Claire Turner)
• Telstra road to Tamworth finalist
• South Australian Champion of Champions Grand finalist

• South Australian Country music Talent Quest- 1st place in Songwriters & 2nd place Songwriters (with duo partner, Jemma Molton) 1st place in Duo( with Jemma Molton) 2nd place in Vocal & Country Rock.
• Successful audition in TV Series X-Factor.
• Victorian Champion of Champions (Mildura Sept)
• SACCM Senior Champion of Champions Nov 28 2010

2011

• The Capital Country Music Association (Tamworth) Songwriters award.
• Runner up in the “APRA Country Song of the Year” awards.
• The Aristocrat Entertainer of the Year (Tamworth) award.
• Trans Tasman Entertainer of the Year (Norfolk Island CMF)
• winner of Heat 5 of the Telstra Road to Discovery at the Adelaide Showgrounds (see media release above)

Melody performs regularly around SA with Country duo, Pretty Radio & Band, Fully Loaded. She has written and recorded many of her originals both on her own and with Pretty Radio, with the help of local producers Anthony Stewart & Rob Pippan. With a voice and personality that leaves audiences talking, Melody is a star on the rise
